For the past six months, I have not updated my blog as consistently as in the past. In July, my husband and I moved from Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, my focus has been on settling into the new routine of our lives. Now that we are (sorta) settled, you may see an uptick in recipe articles on my blog!

Until then, I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some exciting updates!

Youtube Channel: OhMe OhMine

First, my husband and I recently started a vlog-style Youtube channel to run alongside Carving A Journey! We started taking videos to share with his friends and family in South Korea. From there, we decided to create a channel to showcase our lives as an international couple in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently, we are videoing our first Christmas in our new home.

On our channel, you will see how we combine our two cultures. Eventual, projects will include:

  • House projects as we redo our historic home
  • Cooking videos of both Korean and Southern American foods
  • Travel; And more!

If you have the opportunity, please watch our first video: ‘[Vlogmas 2022] 🇺🇸🇰🇷 International Couple’s First Christmas Tree’! If you like the video, we would appreciate it if you like, comment, and subscribe!

Website Changes:

If you follow my blog, you will notice that Carving A Journey has had some major website updates within the past few weeks.

Excitingly, the site has become more user-friendly:

  • Now, you can learn about the ingredients necessary for my recipes in the ‘Korean Ingredient Glossary.’ The glossary is separated by food-type categories.
  • Navigating recipes is also now easier. While the categories are the same, you can more easily switch between them via the dropdown menu.
  • Social media is easier to access through the icons available throughout the site. As always you can follow me at @carvingajourney on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest
  • You can now contact me via a new email address: [email protected]. Soon, everything will switch over to this email account.

Further updates will be coming so stay tuned. These updates will include email campaign changes, a cooking tool glossary, new photographs for recipes, revamped recipes, and more!

I Hope You Enjoy the Exciting Updates!

In the end, I hope you enjoy our new Youtube channel and the updates to my website. If so, let me know in the comment section below!

If you would like to read about cooking, you can find recipes as well as Korean ingredient articles on my blog. I listed some of our favorite Carving A Journey holiday recipes below! For reference, many recipes are influenced by my family’s blended Korean and Southern heritage.
